First mini-mini goal reached.
I AM 238 this morning. 4 pounds in two weeks is the perfect pace to lose 100 pounds this year. I have yet to get into a pattern of exercising. My eating is still FAR from perfect but it is somewhat better. So I could be doing worse but I could be doing much better. So my next mini-mini goal is 236 by next friday 1/22, and my mini goal is 234 by 2/1. I know this is going to be harder and harder if I don't start getting on the tread mill and eating better, that is only going to take me so far. I have the kids not havving any candy treats during the week, only on saturday or sunday, they have done this for two weeks now. The only snacks they get during the week are healthy (cheese sticks, yougurt, ect). I busted Brandon for eating wayyyyy to much crap at school so he has been told exactly what he can buy or he is not going to be allowed to buy anything. I am hoping that he can lose a few pounds. I know that I should just stabilize his wiehgt and let him grow taller but he could lose a few too. He is pretty active so that is not really the problem. I hate making him aware that he and I are the only ones in this house with a weight problem, but I am afraid if I don't say anything he won't notice. So I hate bringing up weight, so I try to just bring up "healthy eating" alot. So now he is always asking me if somehting is healthy.

I just found your blog today and I am really enjoying it [well, except for all your surgeries, my prayers are with you on that. Take care]
I did want to comment tho' on Brandon and lunch. Could he pack his own lunch everyday? And not have any money on account at school to buy extra? I find I save so much money and my kids eat so much healthier because we always pack their lunches [they do it - we all take turns one day a week - fun surprises when someone else makes your lunch :D]
It solves the problem of what they can buy and consume and you know what they are eating. I will happily share ideas if you would like.
