Hpmf....Braces

Yup, I am getting braces on 10/3. My teeth have moved slightly and I had very little wiggle room in my bite to spare so now my front teeth are bumping when I eat and I can't close my teeth all the way. The top teeth are rubbing the front of the bottom teeth to the point that I am seeing worn spots on them. So on Friday I get top braces and they will go on first since there is no room to spare on the bottom teeth for braces ( then I really wouldn't be able to close my teeth at all). The orthodontist wants me evaluated for TMJ but there are very few people who can/ will do a proper TMJ eval (especially with my insurance), so I told her that if we didn't proceed with starting treatment soon, that I would get TMJ from my bite issues, she agreed that we could start treatment as she is sure that even if they found a TMJ issue one of the things they would want done is to have my bite corrected with braces. So I can have my jaw checked when/if we find a specialist.
